Each week we’re publishing some questions to think about based on the Sunday messages & Bible readings.
These can be used in home groups, with others or on your own, and are designed to help you engage in the passage and themes in more depth and reflect on how God might be speaking to you through them.

Icebreaker Question
Opening Prayer
Father of creation,
We pause before You with grateful hearts.
Open our eyes again to the beauty of the world You have made, and open our spirits to recognise Your presence within it.
As we talk together, stir up wonder, deepen faith, and help us see Your glory reflected in the everyday.
Amen.
Reading & Questions
Read Psalm 8
- 'When I consider your heavens…' Psalm 8 begins with David contemplating creation. What part of creation most helps you sense God’s greatness — and why?
- Colin’s message invites us to recover a sense of awe. What gets in the way of experiencing wonder in your daily life?
- The message emphasises that God not only made the world but comes to us and meets us in it. Where have you sensed God’s presence in ordinary or unexpected places?
- “What is mankind that you are mindful of them?” How does creation help you understand both your smallness and your worth? How does it make you feel to think that the God who made the heavens is mindful of, and attentive to, each one of us?
- What practical habits could help you cultivate a deeper awareness of God in creation this week? For example slowing down, choosing to walk rather than drive, praying outdoors etc.
Closing Prayer
Pray together – asking God to cultivate a sense of wonder in each of you.
Pray that everyone in the group would have a sense of God's presence in the coming week - whatever that week might look like.
