Each week we’re publishing some questions to think about based on the Sunday messages & Bible readings.
These can be used in home groups, with others or on your own, and are designed to help you engage in the passage and themes in more depth and reflect on how God might be speaking to you through them.

John 20:24-31
Icebreaker:
Can you remember a time when you were convinced something wasn’t true—but later realised you were wrong? What helped change your mind?
Prayer:
Thank you Lord for this opportunity to be together and to reflect on your word. Speak to us now we pray as we draw close to you. Amen.

Questions:
- Doubt and Faith
Thomas is often labelled “the doubter,” yet we know that many disciples struggled to believe—even after seeing Jesus. How does this affect the way you view doubt in your own faith journey? - What We Ask of God
Thomas says he will not believe unless he can see and touch Jesus’ wounds. What kinds of evidence, reassurance, or experiences do we tend to ask God for today? How do we know that God welcomes those requests? - Jesus and Transparency
On Sunday we thought about the contrast between our culture of spin, secrecy, and manipulated “truth” and Jesus’ willingness to be scrutinised. What strikes you about Jesus inviting people to look closely at his wounds, and how does that speak into the world we live in now? - Waiting and Grace
Thomas waits a full week before Jesus appears to him. Can you think of a time when waiting on God felt difficult? How does this passage help you reflect on the answers you are waiting for? - “My Lord and My God”
Thomas’ response is wholehearted surrender. What do you think it means, practically, to say “Jesus is Lord” today? Are there areas of life where that feels challenging or costly?
Pray for each other and for the world as you close your time together. Pray that God would go with each of you into the coming week as you go forward in surrender to his lordship.
